2012/2013 Ski Season

With our ski season winding down here I think over the amazing adventures we have had this past winter.

We are lucky enough to have my Dad still skiing strong with us at 72. Rob, Thomas, and I were able to get out with him a lot this winter and Mom was kind enough to have a warm meal for the troops to come home to. (Love you Mom!!!)Pic2

Most nights (when T doesn’t have soccer) we spend out on the slopes. This year Rob was learning to ski and really impressed us by how quickly he caught onto it…and he really came to love it. We even got him wearing a helmet. (Big smile)

The great thing about skiing as a family is your time to talk on the chair lift. My Dad and I still use the time as our father-daughter time to catch up, bounce ideas off of one another, share what is happening, and just be with each other… it is some of my favorite time with my Dad and I am so glad that Thomas and Rob feel the same way.

Thomas did quite well this year in the racing program placing 1st in his age category and it was nice to have Mom and Dad there as well… I know it meant a lot to T. At each race (or soccer tournament for that matter) Thomas always says, “You can never have enough cow bell” hoping to get us to cheer even louder. I am so proud of the skier Thomas is becoming, the athlete he is, and the boy who is growing up so fast and amazes me each and every day.

Whenever you are outside your smile seems a little larger, the fresh air takes over and the next thing you are having the time of your life… don’t let it pass you by, it does go fast.
